Procurement - Category Buyer

Chiesi is looking for a Category Buyer (CB) to join our Team and manage Chiesi organization's procurement needs. The CB will be responsible for his/her assigned indirect categories, optimised supplier portfolio, generate cost/cash savings and last but not least maintaining and improving the quality of data used for spending analysis and reports for Chiesi Spain with a strong focus on Sustainability topics.

The CB will ensure quality of data by interpreting patterns and trends using advanced digital tools and methods including data modelling and data mining. The CB will be allowed to upload data file to import classification related data at Group Level.

Responsibilities:

1. The CB will be responsible for technical aspects of keeping procurement applications systems available as well as configuring the applications to meet the business needs.
2. The CB will be accountable for suppliers' evaluation & purchase category (mostly indirect), ensuring that all purchased products and services meet Chiesi specifications and ensure compliance with ESG standards.
3. Prepare, control and issue purchase orders and agreements, monitor supplier qualifications process and support the implementation of sourcing strategies.
4. Analyse procurement data, highlighting risks and reporting, administer spend classification and view/report Spend classification by work area.
5. Evaluate the performance of suppliers and service providers to ensure that they meet sustainability criteria, including respect for human rights and environmental standards.
6. Monitor "supply chain" and contract performance throughout the contract lifecycle.
7. Presentation of data to procurement team and wider stakeholder network.
8. Work on process improvement and data management within the space of procurement analytics.
9. Develop supplier KPI and risk management tools/reports in conjunction with Finance/Supply Team.
10. Generate cost and cash savings following Procurement strategy & objectives.
11. Responsible for creating a suite of KPIs/dashboards/Reports on assigned categories.
12. Prepare proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions.
13. Track and identify trends and best practices to improve sustainability in purchasing.

Required Skills:

1. Proven work experience in Category Management or similar role (5 years).
2. Master's degree in Purchasing or business administration or related field preferred.
3. Experience in vendor management & negotiation.
4. Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies and analytical tools.
5. Understand sustainable policies and ESG strategies of Chiesi Group.
6. Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, Teamwork.
7. Analytical mindset & Strong MS Excel skills to create reports, tools etc monitor KPI performance.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience in an analytical role requiring data analysis skill sets, and the creation of KPIs/Reports (with a focus on Sustainability).
2. Proficiency in data analysis & MS Excel skills - Pivot table, VLOOKUP, Graphs, Charts, Formulas etc.
3. Candidate will have to start his career in operational procurement and sustainability data treatment.
4. Multilingual skills, ideally English, French or Portuguese. Spanish is mandatory.
