FUNCTIONS
Here’s a summary of your key responsibilities and areas of focus:
- IT Strategy and Governance: Develop and implement IT strategy aligned with business goals, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity, data protection, and renewable energy reporting standards.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee IT hardware, software, networks, and systems, managing cloud platforms, SCADA, and renewable energy monitoring tools. Ensure reliable IT infrastructure at remote sites and offices.
- Cybersecurity and Risk Management: Implement cybersecurity protocols, ensuring NIS2 compliance. Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to address vulnerabilities.
- Data Analytics and Reporting: Design data analytics solutions for performance monitoring of renewable energy assets, supporting real-time monitoring of plants and managing data interfaces and reporting outputs.
- Team Leadership: Lead the IT team in adopting new systems and technologies, promoting skill development in emerging technologies relevant to renewable energy.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with vendors and collaborate with internal teams to address IT needs across engineering, revenues, finance, and operations.
- Project Management: Oversee IT projects, including upgrades, new technology implementations, and integrations, while managing budgets and timelines.
Education & Experience Background:
You are an Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience in Management, Technical background, or experience acquired in a similar role. Solid IT skills are essential. You feel comfortable working with a variety of project phases with a strong understanding of how they interact and a genuine interest in learning. Fluent English and Spanish are required, with Italian and/or Portuguese languages preferable. Candidates must have the right to work in Spain and be available to travel within Europe and globally if needed. You should have the ability to understand key business and strategic objectives of the company and integrate business, legal, and regulatory concepts to develop effective internal controls and risk management strategies. An interest in the renewable energy sub-space is a prerequisite, and a power industry background is an advantage. A strategic approach with sound business judgment is essential.
