Onsite IT I&O Canary Islands Manager

What this role is about?

The On-site IT I&O Canary Islands Manager is the head of a sub-cluster within the Onsite IT I&O Iberia organization. This position supports the On-site IT I&O Iberia Cluster Lead in identifying the technical infrastructure and end-user computing requirements for market/factory/leaf business operations by cooperating with respective Regional, Markets, Factories, and Leaf origins IT Leads to advise the “IT Infrastructure and Operations Pillar” for the required systems/solutions. The role is accountable for managing the implementation and execution of all required global and local infrastructure systems, providing end-user computing services in the incumbents' regional locations.

What will you do?

  1. Manage Market/Factories/Leaf on-site IT I&O operations in the Canary Islands, ensuring the delivery of all services dedicated to supporting on-site users and providing the infrastructure for running JTI business, including on-site technical infrastructure maintenance, end-user operational support, distribution of all IT equipment, and network on-site support.
  2. Select qualified external vendors/suppliers as per JTI’s Operating Guidelines, policies, procedures, and J-Sox controls.
  3. Deliver required service levels as measured by objective KPIs and dashboards, following established JTI IT policies and strategic directions. Ensure regional on-site IT I&O operations are effective, efficient, adhere to budget for on-site IT I&O, and strategic vendors.
  4. Track and prepare timely submissions of the Canary Islands On-site IT I&O financial plans/budgets (SPC/ASP/LE).
  5. Oversee necessary IT administrative activities for the sub-cluster.

What are we looking for?

  1. University Degree in Computer or Technical Science or strong IT background.
  2. 5-7+ years of IT management (including people management) with more than 7 years of overall experience in the IT discipline. Preferred background employment experience would be in multinational companies. Good working knowledge of business and related processes in the FMCG industry.
  3. Advanced English. Adequate knowledge of technology standard within JTI, such as Microsoft solutions, local and wide area networks, telecommunication, ERP, and CRM business process analysis.
  4. High level of communication and negotiation skills.
  5. Highly effective in a geographically distributed global environment. Culturally aware. Able to prioritize specific areas within the region.
  6. Strategic insight and good knowledge of JTI business and related processes such as HR, Legal, Finance, GSC, Leaf, SRA areas, M&S.
