About the Company

HIP is the leading investor in leisure hotels in southern Europe, with more than 22,000 rooms located in the top tourist destinations of Spain, Italy, Greece, and Portugal. HIP is looking for a Tax Compliance Analyst for its Finance & Corporate Development Department.

The candidate will belong to the tax department, which is highly involved in the corporate matters and business activities of the HIP Group. It is an opportunity to work independently and overcome challenges in a growing area of work and get more responsibilities step by step. Tax Compliance works are externalized, and the candidate will have the opportunity to be responsible for the supervision of the Tax Compliance of the Group by coordinating the different teams involved.

Responsibilities :

1. Verify and test the SII configuration of a portfolio comprising around 70 entities.
2. Monitor on a monthly basis the VAT / IGIC books to cross-check the information between accountancy, SII and VAT returns and attend any related requests from the Tax Authorities. Candidate will be responsible for improving and developing the existing RPA (along with the IT department resources) to automate certain tasks around the cross check of information.
3. Verify the existing tax compliance procedures in alignment with the Group Tax Policy and risk management.
4. Lead and participate in cross-functional projects with priority on creating new internal processes, automation and AI.
5. Execute daily tax affairs and handle tax notifications in cooperation with the rest of the tax team and with external advisors, when necessary.

The ideal candidate should have :

1. Bachelor's degree.
2. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience related to SII projects and Tax Compliance either with Final Client or working for an advisory / administrative services firm.
3. Knowledge of the Spanish taxation system.
4. Advanced level of knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications.
5. Knowledge of SAP systems would be highly valued.
6. Ability to communicate with various leads within the organization and to work closely as required with other functional areas.
7. Problem resolution and analytical skills.
8. High attention to detail and accuracy.
9. Ability to act and operate independently.
