Infrastructure Support Technician (AT-393)

Mission: To build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of technology on business sustainability.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
2. Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.).
3. Provide 1st and 2nd level support.
4. Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
5. Logging customer/employee queries.
6. Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule.
7. Analyzing call logs to spot trends and underlying issues.
8. Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.).
9. Check computer hardware (HDD, mouse, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality.
10. Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
11. Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance.
12. Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
13. Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.
14. Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders.

Requirements:

1. Education in Computer Science.
2. Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional).
3. Experience of at least 3 years in a similar position in a systems provider, IT department or systems integrator company.
4. In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks.
5. Experience with LAN/WAN networks.
6. Experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft based environments.
7. Cloud Experience, preferably in Azure and Office 365.
8. Experience with monitoring systems.
9. Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
10. Thorough knowledge of computer systems and IT components.
11. Knowledge with virtualization (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware).
12. Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills.
13. Excellent communication skills.
14. Fluent in English and Spanish.
