Industrial Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Engineer to lead a short-term project focused on assessing and optimizing the capacity of the Quality Control (QC) laboratory. This role is critical in ensuring that lab operations are aligned with production demands by identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvements.

Responsibilities:

1. Collect and review data related to laboratory workflows, turnaround times, and equipment utilization.
2. Conduct on-site observations and measurements of current operations.
3. Analyze historical output data, sample loads, and testing timelines.
4. Assess current laboratory throughput and identify resource limitations.
5. Analyze peak workload periods and correlate them with resource demand.
6. Evaluate equipment capacity and constraints.
7. Pinpoint process inefficiencies and operational bottlenecks.
8. Determine the impact of constraints on lab performance and capacity.
9. Develop an action plan to enhance laboratory capacity and operational efficiency.
10. Recommend workflow optimization, improved resource management, and technological enhancements.
11. Prepare a final Capacity Assessment Report including:
1. Current capacity analysis
2. Identified bottlenecks
3. Improvement recommendations
12. Present findings and proposals to laboratory management and key stakeholders.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in capacity assessment, process analysis, and workflow optimization.
3. Strong knowledge of Lean Methodology and Lean Lab concepts.
4. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
5. Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
