As the Head of Virtual Core, you play a pivotal role in shaping Siemens Energy’s digital transformation by leading the development and scaling of foundational technologies and advanced AI platforms. You collaborate with multi-functional leaders to integrate innovative solutions that drive balanced and intelligent energy management across diverse environments. You work closely with partners to align technological initiatives with organizational goals, enhance developer experiences, and streamline processes that enable other teams to innovate efficiently. By driving the adoption of new digital capabilities and pioneering powerful Software Factory initiatives, you directly impact the future of smart energy management and contribute to the sustainable energy landscape of tomorrow.

How You’ll Make an Impact :

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement pivotal initiatives that align with the department’s vision to enable rapid growth of Siemens Energy´s digital portfolio.
• Be responsible for the creation and scaling of foundational technologies and AI platforms that support energy management solutions across cloud, on-premises, and edge environments.
• Enhance developer experience and productivity by streamlining project management, service catalogs, and automated quality and lifecycle tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure enabling technologies meet organizational needs and support efficient adoption.
• Lead prioritization, project timelines, and work to ensure the successful execution of the Virtual Core team’s mission.

What You Bring :

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering and cloud technologies.
• At least 5 years of experience in team leadership, managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Proven track record of creating and scaling enabling technologies, such as platform engineering, within large organizations.
• Solid understanding of foundational technologies, ML / AI / GenAI platforms, and developer experience best practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams and partners.
