DSJ Global are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Indirect Procurement on a permanent basis for a global market leader in Technology.
This role is crucial in developing and implementing strategic sourcing capabilities that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT procurement, exceptional leadership skills, and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a small team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Streamline procurement processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Utilize data and AI tools to drive informed decision-making and optimise procurement strategies.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for indirect procurement categories.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to achieve favourable terms.
Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Focus on procurement planning, sourcing strategy, vendor management and selection review, and ESG & risk integration.
Champion new tools in P2P and VMS, and accelerate adoption of AI and automation tools in the procurement process.
Apply lean methodologies and change management experience in project management.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Indirect Procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of procurement leadership and excellence.
Proficiency in English and German.
Experience with sourcing tools such as SAP Ariba and MS Office applications.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data and AI tools.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Professional Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of global markets, procurement trends, and best practices.
Familiarity with legal and regulatory environments is advantageous.
