Head of Engineering

We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Head of Product & Engineering to support our client’s growth journey in a private equity-backed SaaS business. You’ll work closely with the leadership team to shape and execute both the product vision and technology roadmap , strengthen product and engineering capabilities, and ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and ready for future growth.

This is a high-impact role for a seasoned leader who brings a blend of product strategy , technical expertise , and operational know-how , with a clear understanding of what it takes to scale a SaaS business in a PE environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assess current product, tech stack, architecture, and team structure; define a pragmatic roadmap for improvement
• Ensure platform scalability, performance, and resilience in line with business objectives
• Drive best-in-class engineering and product development practices (Agile, DevOps, CI / CD, etc.)
• Align product strategy with commercial goals, ensuring tight collaboration across functions
• Strengthen security, data privacy, and compliance capabilities (e.g. ISO 27001, SOC2)
• Lead or support team development – from hiring and org design to leadership coaching
• Act as a bridge between product, engineering, and PE stakeholders, supporting value creation and exit readiness
• Provide hands-on guidance where needed, while empowering internal teams to deliver at pace

What We’re Looking For :

• Proven experience as Head of Product & / or Technology in a SaaS or B2B software business
• Strong product sensibility, with technical fluency in cloud-native, API-first, data-driven platforms
• Demonstrated ability to scale both product and engineering functions in a high-growth or PE-backed setting
• Sound understanding of security, compliance, and the software development lifecycle
• Clear communicator with the ability to engage across C-suite, product, engineering, and investor
