Enterprise Architecture Team, within Platform & Application Division, is a group of area expert professionals who evaluate projects according to technical, governance & compliance requirements.

To extend expertise in the team, we are looking for:

Global Enterprise Architect for Manufacturing and Engineering.

This role gives the opportunity to collaborate with different businesses across Hitachi organization, and be a part of the complex transition from the current distributed IT architecture landscape to a centrally managed IT architecture landscape, and lead the development of IT policies and standards that drive business success.

Your involvement:

  • Develops enterprise architecture IT policies, standards, and guidelines that steer the selection, development, implementation, and use of IT application solutions and IT technologies within Hitachi Energy business.

  • Supervises and facilitates the evaluation and selection of appropriate IT applications, IT technologies, and IT solutions.

  • Supervises or consults on IT solution architecture implementation and modification activities, particularly for new and/or core/common IT application solutions.

  • Challenges the IT architecture and IT service landscape regarding content and process and makes recommendations for improvements.

  • Develops and maintains a roadmap of initiatives within the domain of responsibility.

Your background:

Education & Experience:

  • Degree in information management, computer systems, business engineering, or similar.

  • 10+ years of IT experience within the relevant IT domain.

  • Superior analytical skills and a deep understanding of the overall context of business processes and IT technologies.

  • Excellent experience in objectively evaluating IT solutions and making recommendations.

  • Superior experience in translating business requirements into IT capabilities and solutions.

  • Superior experience in leading IT people who do not report directly.

  • Superior experience in identifying and resolving issues between team members or other teams.

  • Excellent experience in project planning and execution as well as economic aspects of system management and life cycle.

  • Experience working in a non-native country and culture.

  • Fluent spoken and written English.

    Systems Thinking: Understanding the complex relationships between various components of IT infrastructure and business processes.
    Architectural Frameworks: Understanding of frameworks like TOGAF, Zachman, or FEAF to design and implement effective enterprise architectures.
    Digital Technologies: Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts, IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things), AI, ML, data analytics, and automation.
    Cybersecurity: Ensuring the security of manufacturing systems and data.
    Cloud Computing: Leveraging cloud technologies for scalable and flexible IT solutions.

    Strategic Thinking: Aligning IT strategy with business goals to drive digital transformation.
    Business Acumen: Understanding manufacturing processes, production workflows, and financial management.
    Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks associated with IT and business processes.

    Communication: Effectively communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    Collaboration: Working closely with various teams, including IT, operations, and management.
    Leadership: Guiding teams through complex project initiations and transformations.

    Adaptability: Being flexible and adaptable to changing business and technological landscapes.
