We are representing a global leader in sustainable travel, seeking an experienced General Manager in the travel sector.
The General Manager will oversee the efficient management of Ground Operations, driving long-term strategic initiatives and handling day-to-day business activities. This role will focus on expanding the brand’s presence, fostering growth, and strengthening its position in key regional markets. The ideal candidate will lead efforts to achieve business objectives, drive new business development, increase sales, ensure profitability, deliver outstanding products to partners, and build a high-performing team.
Reporting to the Regional General Manager for West Europe, the General Manager will work closely with other GMs within the EMEA region and the global business to support broader strategic goals and deliver results.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of Ground Operations.
- Drive business growth and sales across key destinations, ensuring profitability.
- Manage relationships with partners, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver exceptional travel experiences.
- Oversee risk and incident management, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Build and manage a high-performing team to achieve business objectives.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams to align with broader strategic goals.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience managing Ground Operations in Spain and Portugal.
- Strong understanding of Destination Management Company (DMC) operations.
- Proven leadership with a background in managing teams and driving growth.
- High level of financial literacy and commercial decision-making experience.
- Native Spanish speaker, fluent in English; additional languages (Portuguese, French) a plus.
- Experience in tourism, operations, or sales-focused industries.
- Ability to work legally in Spain.
- Strategic and operational leadership experience.
- Strong change and people management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
