Job Description:

Do you have experience in General Ledger Accounting and are you eager to grow your career? Our client is searching for a Senior Accountant to join their growing company in Leganés, Madrid.

Your responsibilities and impact working as a General Ledger Accountant will be:

1. Record accounts payable invoices and reconcile them with existing purchase orders
2. Reconcile incoming payments and ensure accurate recording
3. Manage outgoing payments, including reconciliation of bank accounts, foreign currency exchange differences, and intercompany accounts
4. Prepare payment suggestion forms, initiate the payment approval cycle, and execute payments accordingly
5. Reconcile and book monthly payroll transactions accurately
6. Prepare and submit statutory forms and reports for external providers
7. Generate monthly reports with detailed analysis compared to budget and forecast
8. Develop monthly forecasts and yearly budgets
9. Maintain all accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
10. Prepare financial statements and collaborate with auditors during the audit process

Skills, experiences and interests you need to succeed in this role:

1. You have professional proficiency in Spanish and English
2. You have a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a similar role
3. You preferably have experience with SAP and Excel
4. You have experience in payroll booking
5. You are organised with attention to detail
