General Ledger Accountant M/F/D (English/Germany/Spanish)

About the role:

Assist the Controller in the elaboration of the accounting and compliance with tax obligations, according to company policies and applicable law to reflect a true image.

What you’ll be doing:

1. Assist the Controller during the month-end and year-end closings.
2. Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with US and local GAAP and compliance to internal policies.
3. Manage Fixed Assets.
4. Analyze the monthly expense variance versus budget and forecasts.
5. Participate in the preparation of the annual budget of the company.
6. Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
7. Monitor activities according to closing checklist.
8. Prepare all the tax returns requirements.
9. Assist at external audits.
10. Collaborate with Controller in all ad hoc requirements from Management and in the Monthly Operating Review.
11. Perform backup of other GL accountants from other countries to ensure a good support to all Controllers.
12. Assist GL Lead in the standardization / automatization of GL Accounting Processes across EMEA.

What you’ll need:

1. At least, 3-5 years in accounting departments or similar position.
2. General Accounting, Tax law and auditing knowledge.
3. Organization, accuracy and timeliness.
4. Ability to work under stress.
5. Time flexibility required to cover peaks at month-end closing and for ad-hoc tasks.
6. Knowledge of Oracle.
7. Teamwork spirit, proactive and positive attitude and quick learner.
8. Excellent knowledge of Excel.
9. Fluent English and German are mandatory.
