Description of the Post
UVic-UCC is a young and very dynamic university in Central Catalonia, with a special commitment to quality teaching, innovative research, and internationalization.

The Faculty of Business and Communication Studies is starting a recruitment process to incorporate a Lecturer in Information and Communication Technologies Sociology.

Functions and Duties:
The candidate must teach 6 teaching credits in the subject of Information and Communication Technologies. The candidate will have to be able to explain the subject's syllabus with a practical and theoretical dimension.

Requirements
Spanish Decree on recognition of qualifications of teaching and research staff, and service staff.
According to Spanish Royal Decree 889/2022, those who apply for teaching and research staff (PDI) or service staff (PAS) posts should have any qualifications issued abroad officially recognised in Spain, since such approval qualifies for the exercise of regulated professions in Spain. Research-only staff are exempt from this requirement.

University degree in the field:
Degree in Social-Juridical Sciences or Engineering.

Certification of Level C1 in Catalan or a commitment to obtain it.

Subject with instruction in English. Requiring accreditation of Level C1 in English or a commitment to obtain it.

Demonstrated professional experience in technology management and social issues.

Active professional status in the industry, consultancy projects, or administration at the time of hiring.

Merits
Doctorate in the field of Communication, Sociology, Political Sciences, or others.
Teaching experience at the university level in Communication, Sociology, Political Sciences, International Relations, or others.
Level B2 or more in languages other than English.
Accreditation by an academic Quality Agency.
Research experience.
