What will be your responsibilities?

• Plan and execute functional safety tests for safety-critical systems based on defined requirements and standards.
• Analyze test results, identify potential safety risks, and provide recommendations for mitigation.
• Participate in HARA activities to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in safety-critical systems.
• Prepare detailed test reports, safety analyses, and certification documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure all testing activities comply with international functional safety standards, such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or other applicable frameworks.
• Develop and optimize test plans, procedures, and cases for validating safety-critical functions.
• Coordinate technical efforts between Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, and AI domains.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in functional safety and ensure the company aligns with industry best practices.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of functional safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or equivalents).
• Experience in functional safety testing and/or Hazard and Risk Analysis (HARA) for safety-critical systems.
• Proven experience in testing safety-critical systems, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of Linux-based OS and in-depth knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and Bash. C/C++ is a plus.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet, etc.).
• Knowledge of safety analysis techniques, such as FMEA or fault tree analysis.
• Understanding of embedded systems and software development lifecycles.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken. Other languages are a plus.

• ASPICE knowledge or ASPICE provisional assessor status.
• Professional functional safety engineer certification (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508).
• International working experience with global customers.
• German language is a plus.
