The role...

The Full Stack Engineer is a full-time position reporting to the Vice President of Software Engineering. The ideal candidate is an experienced full-stack developer who is excited to participate in the entire software development cycle, from ideation to delivery.


The Full Stack Engineer will work with UI/UX designers, product experts, and senior leadership to collaboratively design new and improved features. The Full Stack Engineer will build and deliver these features as part of a true agile release cycle – getting to immediately see the impact of their work in Ensemble IP’s software products.


Responsibilities

  1. Participate in sprint ceremonies to plan and execute each two-week sprint.
  2. Implement user stories, tasks, and bug fixes according to the sprint plan.
  3. Use the resources we provide to learn the basics of intellectual property / patent searching.
  4. Be curious and invested in our software products. Look for opportunities to improve our products and contribute your creativity to the development process.
  5. Follow development guidelines and prioritize clean, maintainable, and testable code.

Skills and Qualifications

  1. Proven experience creating sophisticated and responsive single-page applications with React and Typescript.
  2. Proficient with tools such as Apollo GraphQL, Node, Storybook, and Webpack.
  3. Proficient with DB technologies such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
  4. A passion for producing simple and intuitive user interfaces.
  5. Familiar with common development technologies in Linux and CI/CD practices.
  6. Experience with collaborative development best-practices. Proven experience in open-source development is a plus.
  7. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  8. 3+ years of experience in full-stack development with the technologies mentioned above.
