FPGA Engineer - International Opportunity

About the Role :

We are looking for an FPGA Engineer with at least 3 years of experience to join a project focused on modernizing a legacy system from 1999. This role involves translating obsolete AHDL code into VHDL and adapting it to modern FPGA architectures.

Responsibilities :

• Analyze and understand the existing AHDL-based design.
• Translate and implement the design in VHDL, ensuring functionality is preserved.
• Work with Zynq FPGA´s from Xilinx.
• Identify and define technical requirements for the new implementation.
• Conduct basic verification to validate the new design.
• Communicate effectively with the client to clarify requirements (good soft skills are a plus).

Required Skills & Experience :

• 3+ years of experience in FPGA design.
• Familiarity with modern processor architectures and FPGA development tools.
• Basic knowledge of verification methodologies, detailed verification is not a primary focus.
• Ability to work with minimal initial requirements and help define specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.

Nice to Have Skills :

• Good communication skills to interact with the client and identify requirements.
• Experience working with legacy system migration projects.
