The purpose of the role is to work autonomously to maintain & grow the business via the development of profitable, delicious, nutritious & sustainable products & solutions for selected customers. Solutions should be process stable, both internally and externally, whilst still ensuring food quality and safety standards are met.

Today, Griffith Foods Europe has a vacancy for a talented Food Technologist to complete our savoury snack team, based in Valls (Spain).

Responsibilities:

1. Support the R&D activities and responsibilities that will contribute to the growth of our product range and customer base.
2. Support the development of new products for our targeted customers.
3. Act as the technical contact for our snack customers in Continental Europe.
4. Develop presentations, organize and execute workshops, and train the customer showing our products in applications & marketable formats, in cooperation with sales and marketing.
5. Create innovative seasoning & coating systems for snack substrates - e.g. chips, tortillas, (coated) nuts, rice cakes, extruded snacks, crackers, etc.
6. Look actively for innovative raw materials and systems.
7. Conduct raw material evaluations.

Requirements:

1. Master/bachelor in Food Science or Food Technology or equivalent by proven experience.
2. A level of relevant and proven experience within the food industry.
3. Language skills: fluent in English; Spanish or Dutch will be valuable.
4. Project Management skills.
5. Experience in development and application of seasonings is a plus.
6. Passionate about food and customer focus.
7. Strong team player and able to work independently on product development projects.
8. Self-confident and enthusiastic in presenting product concepts to customers.
9. Creative, hands-on, accurate, and well-organized.
10. Flexible and willing to travel within Europe to support our customers.
