Position DescriptionAdvertised Job SummaryFirst Generation Living and Learning Community Program Lead- Do you love working with first generation students?

Look no further!The First Generation Living and Learning Community (LLC) Program Lead collaborates with the Faculty Director in organizing educational programs, developing co-curricular initiatives, and promoting community development. The primary goals of this position are to: increase student interaction with our Faculty Director, support students in their academic persistence, connect students to opportunities at USC, and increase students' knowledge and habits.
Primary duties:- Coordinate planning and implementation of programming for First Generation Living Learning Community
- Supervise student program committees and student interns
- Assist Faculty Director with development of long-term strategic plan, programmatic curriculum, grant proposals, funding initiatives, and comprehensive assessment
- Communicate and market the mission of First Generation Living Learning Community.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and ExperienceRequires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other CredentialsPreferred QualificationsMaster's Degree and 2 years. Direct experience working with college students in and outside the classroom; experience with entrepreneurship and innovation programming for students and community members.
Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesStrong organizational and management skills. Ability to communicate effectively and work independently. Ability to work with students in formal and informal capacities. Ability to multitask in a very busy and interactive student community. Ability to maintain productive working relationships with Preston faculty and staff, colleagues in University Housing, Student Affairs, Campus Dining, and other campus departments. Working knowledge of MS operating system (Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, and PowerPoint) and Google products (calendar, forms, and docs). Expertise in preparing, reporting, and interpreting reports. Skilled in marketing and social media. Ability to work on a flexible basis when activities fall outside of normal working times, including nights and weekends.
Job DutiesProgramming- In conjunction with the Faculty Director, develop a programming calendar with events that support the LLC goals and that complies with Faculty Director programming expectations
- Plan the logistics of LLC programs
- In conjunction with the Faculty Director, attend programs
- Track attendance tracking at programs and events
- Assess program effectiveness
