Firmware Engineer - Avionics and Flight System - [Z606]

Sener is currently looking for Firmware Engineers (Senior and Junior) to join our Avionics and Flight System Division at our Tres Cantos work center (Madrid). We are a pioneering engineering company in the design of satellite technology and equipment for space exploration. In defense, we design and produce equipment and systems, including unmanned systems. What you will do:

1. Lead the definition and implementation of FW solutions: architectures, FW components, Ifs, requirements, test resources, pin-out.
2. Preparation of FPGA specifications.
3. Testing and debugging the developed solutions.
4. Understanding HW/SW platform and being able to define SW/HW, SW/FW IFs.
5. Break down the defined solution into affordable FW components and tasks, according to project context: schedule, profiles, platform.
6. Participate in proposals preparation.

What we expect from you:

1. Engineering Degree.
2. Between 2-6 years background in FPGA development areas (space or automotive markets preferred). Larger experiences will be very welcome.
3. Experience in all stages of FW lifecycle: requirements & spec, architecture definition, FW implementation, validation, integration.
4. Experience in defining/implementing FW architectures.
5. Ability to gather and analytically understand user requirements, providing guidelines for the solution not only focusing on the FPGA but also, SW/FW/HW approaches (being able to understand requirements impact on HW and SW solutions).
6. Ability to communicate technical approaches and details within small project teams, including team interactions and presentations.
7. Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to clearly articulate customer technical needs into technical specifications.
8. High level of English.

We will also value:

1. Knowledge of different development environments (Xilinx, Microsemi, Questa).
2. Experience in VHDL programming.
3. Experience in Simulink and Matlab.
4. Knowledge in C++, C#, Python, Go, and/or distributed OS.
5. Experience in the implementation of data/signal processing solutions.
6. Experience in space, automotive, or defense industry environments.
