WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?
In our team you will be part of the creation of GMV's new range of onboard equipment. This profile will play a key role in the design and implementation of the Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL), an essential component that allows our software systems to communicate flexibly and robustly with the hardware.
Performing functions such as:
- Developing the HAL of new hardware, based on services written in C++.
- Designing hardware access APIs (audio, GPS, WiFi, etc.) usable from C++, Java and C#.
- Integrate and manage bank payment gateways.
- Program MCUs both in baremetal and with RTOS.
- Design and maintain our embedded Linux distribution using Yocto.
- Configure device tree and bootloaders such as uBoot/BIOS.
- Participate in continuous integration and deployment processes with tools such as Jenkins.
- Collaborate using version control and management tools such as Bitbucket and JIRA.
WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?For this position we are looking for a
firmware engineer to join our agile development team to participate in the creation of GMV's new range of onboard equipment.
The work will be developed with
modern technologies such as C++, ZeroMQ and Protobuf, aimed at maximizing modularity and scalability of the onboard software.
The
aim is to ensure that the new devices have a robust, secure and extensible HAL, facilitating the integration of functionalities such as communications, localization, means of payment, sensors, etc.
Knowledge in C++ programming language, microcontroller programming, Linux environment and use of bash terminal, version control tools: GIT (especially Bitbucket), programming in other languages: Java, C#, Python, and knowledge in Yocto or Buildroot will be an asset.
