Position: Expert in Steel Construction & Certification (m/f/d)

About the Role

We are looking for an Expert in Steel Construction and Certification to join our team for offshore grid connection systems. If you have extensive experience in offshore wind projects and certification processes, this is your chance to take on a challenging and rewarding role!

Your Responsibilities:

1. Take responsibility for the interface with certification authorities (CA) on site.
2. Ensure that all interface points are clearly defined and documented at the early stage of execution.
3. Follow up on open points (OP) with EPCI contractors, ensuring responses align with project requirements.
4. Collaborate with AOS teams to gather documentation and information for certification.
5. Participate in inspections, meetings, and ensure the timely delivery of certification documentation.
6. Oversee QA for steel fabrication, welding, and coating, including inspections and documentation.
7. Support discipline leads in ensuring compliance with project requirements.
8. Supervise contractors in satellite workshops and manage scheduling of on-site interfaces.

Your Profile:

1. Degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum 10 years of experience in the offshore wind industry.
3. Proven track record in steel construction and certification processes.
4. Fluent in Spanish and English (German is optional).
5. Familiarity with the BSH certification process is a plus.
6. SFI/IWE, FROSIO, and NDT certifications required.

Tools Required:

1. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
2. Certification-related tools and systems, including:
3. BSH (Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie) Certification
4. ISO 3834 (Quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials)
5. EN 1090 (Execution of steel structures and aluminium structures)
