The Business Unit Head will lead and optimize cross-functional teams spanning finance, customer success, fraud prevention, business development, talent, and data. This role is pivotal in driving growth, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring the seamless execution of key business processes. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Business Unit Head will be responsible for developing, refining, and scaling operational frameworks to support the company’s ongoing expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring targets are met or exceeded including control of relationships with banks and payment systems to secure optimal commissions.
  • Ensure seamless client fund flows and uninterrupted operation of payment services.
  • Define and establish KPIs and performance metrics for operations and leadership teams to drive accountability and success.
  • Redefine and optimize scalable processes and systems to enhance efficiency and support growth.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership, emphasizing operational performance, key insights, and growth opportunities.
  • Lead high-priority projects, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and timely execution.
  • Prepare detailed reports and analyses to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversee the implementation of operational improvements to meet strategic growth objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture aligned with the company’s values and objectives.
  • Take initiative, execute with excellence, embrace continuous learning, and consistently strive for improvement.

Requirements

  • Higher education in finance, economics, or management.
  • Fluent English and Russian languages.
  • Proven experience: minimum of 4–6 years in management consulting, senior operations, or leadership roles, ideally in financial services, or tech / fintech / SaaS environments.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling organizations while implementing effective operational strategies.
  • Knowledge of modern payment systems, fraud monitoring methods, and client transaction management.
  • Experience leading transformative initiatives, such as scaling teams across multiple locations to support business growth.
  • Strong analytical background with experience working with large data sets, extracting insights.
  • Ability to develop and execute long-term strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Proven ability to build, lead and inspire globally distributed teams.
  • Comfortable operating in a high-growth, fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders across various departments.
