About the Job
The Enterprise Business Architect (EBA) specialized in Financial Systems is responsible for aligning the organization's business strategy with its financial systems and processes.
This role involves designing and optimizing the architecture of financial systems to ensure they support business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The EBA collaborates with various stakeholders, including finance, IT, business units and senior leadership, to develop and enforce business architecture policies, standards, and procedures.
What you do
- Develop and maintain the business architecture framework for financial systems, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals.
- Design, optimize, and ensure scalability and security of financial systems (ERP, accounting, treasury, and reporting) to support business growth.
- Implement best practices for financial data management and integration, and enforce business architecture policies, standards, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, Basel III).
- Collaborate with finance, IT, and business units to integrate financial systems into business processes and provide guidance on best practices.
- Lead projects on financial systems implementation, upgrades, and optimization, ensuring successful delivery and conducting post-implementation reviews.
- Stay updated on trends in financial systems and business architecture, assess improvements, and participate in audits and assessments to ensure system robustness.
What you bring
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday), accounting software, financial reporting tools and a strong understanding of financial data management, integration and analytics.
- Experience with business process modeling tools (e.g., BPMN, UML) and techniques for process optimization.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and standards (GAAP, IFRS, SOX, Basel III).
- Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, CFA, or CPA.
- Project Management experience in managing financial system projects and initiatives, with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing technology and business environments.
- 5-8 years of experience in business architecture or financial systems, with at least 3 years in financial systems architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
