Employment Law Attorney - [AD-336]

Remote (must be located anywhere in CA & licensed in CA - report directly to one of the managers in any of the 10 offices in CA, designated office will be based on candidate location).

Job Description:

Advocate on behalf of employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators. Responsibilities include:

1. Prepare correspondence to clients.
2. Draft pleadings.
3. Attend court appearances.
4. Manage calendar.
5. Conduct depositions and cross-examinations of doctors.
6. Negotiate settlements.
7. Proactive case management.
8. Mentor and manage legal assistant.
9. Establish relationships with clients, co-workers, and vendors.
10. Attend marketing events with new and existing clients.
11. Review and work on files, enter time into billing software.
12. Input case information into Practice Master.

Meet deadlines for client correspondence, attend client meetings, and conduct training seminars for clients on changing employment laws. Understand and maintain current knowledge of employment law and statutes. Perform all other duties or tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

Law Degree, Licensed in CA, Minimum 15 years of employment law experience, and some school district defense experience. Must have school district defense experience.

Other Details:

Standard Operating Hours for the shift: 8am to 5pm, unlimited PTO, should be always on the clock. $3k quarterly bonus not based on performance. Company size: 250+ employees, 100 attorneys.
