As a Technical Writer on the Mars Petcare GDP team, you will play a vital role in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation to support the development, implementation, and optimization of cross-product solutions. Your ability to distill complex technical concepts into user-friendly content will ensure alignment across global teams and enhance the adoption of our digital platforms.

This role requires excellent writing skills, technical aptitude, and a proactive approach to collaborating with diverse teams.

What are we looking for?

Required Qualifications :

1. Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in technology, digital platforms, or MarTech ecosystems.
3. Proven ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and structured documentation.
4. Familiarity with tools like Confluence, JIRA, or other documentation platforms.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications :

1. Experience working in global teams and supporting cross-functional stakeholders.
2. Knowledge of Agile development practices and tools.
3. Understanding of APIs, system integrations, and modern software development workflows.
4. Passion for pets and their well-being.

What will be your key responsibilities?

1. Documentation Development :
2. Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, system workflows, and product manuals.
3. Ensure all documentation is clear, consistent, and accessible to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration :
5. Work closely with product managers, engineers, and designers to gather detailed technical information and translate it into structured content.
6. Act as the bridge between technical and business teams, ensuring alignment in communication and understanding.
7. Process & Standards :
8. Establish and enforce documentation standards, templates, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all materials.
9. Continuously improve documentation processes by identifying opportunities for optimization.
10. Content Organization :
11. Manage the organization and accessibility of technical content in centralized repositories (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint).
12. Ensure documents are updated regularly to reflect the latest changes in systems, processes, and platforms.
13. Knowledge Sharing :
14. Facilitate knowledge sharing by developing internal training materials, FAQs, and onboarding guides for cross-product solutions.
15. Support team members in understanding complex technical workflows through clear and structured documentation.
