Software Architect

We are seeking an experienced Observability Engineer to join our Stability 2.0 initiative, focused on enhancing system stability through advanced observability practices and tools. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in monitoring, alerting, and automation tools, ensuring performance and stability in a regulated banking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize observability solutions to monitor infrastructure and application performance.
• Leverage tools such as NewRelic and Zabbix for monitoring, alerting, and performance optimization.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows using Chef for configuration management.
• Manage infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and/or Terragrunt.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues, ensuring compliance with security standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system stability and observability best practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in system observability, monitoring, and automation.
• Proven expertise in NewRelic for infrastructure and application performance monitoring (APM).
• Proficiency in Zabbix for system monitoring and alerting.
• Hands-on experience with Chef for configuration management and automation.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform and/or Terragrunt for infrastructure provisioning.
• Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals and command-line utilities.
• Experience working in regulated environments such as banking.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with tools like ELK stack, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Prior experience in the banking sector or similar regulated industries with a strong understanding of compliance and security standards.

Location: Remote from EU / English speaker

Depending on the seniority level, experience, and match to the role of the candidate, we may increase the budget for some roles.
