This is your chance to be part of the success story: Cognizant Cloud & Infrastructure Services teams are hiring now and we're looking for our next Senior Sales Specialist to join us as an SLS, Associate Director grade. This role is dedicated to our Southern Europe Market and is based in Madrid or Barcelona, it offers a hybrid work model.

Service Line Specialists (SLS) are critical to Cognizant’s approach of Consultative Selling: they provide deep expertise in a Service Line and work with the Client Leadership Team to close new and expansion opportunities on accounts. SLSs are trusted advisors with a strong technical background and a good mix of strategic and tactical management experience.

You will be actively involved in growing the service line’s footprint and working with the Account team to engage clients with opportunities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

You will be dedicated to Cloud & Infrastructure Services for Southern Europe (Spain, Portugal & Italy) and be responsible for TCV (Total Contract Value) and Revenue targets:

  1. Lead business development and sales and be accountable for identifying, qualifying and closing new business opportunities.
  2. Build mindshare with clients, vertical stakeholders and partner community.
  3. Invest time in strengthening existing client relationships - Engage with CXO, VP and Director and key client stakeholders, participate in reviews and provide educated and relevant perspectives.
  4. Collaborate across all of Cognizant practices and offerings in AI, Data, IoT and Applications to ensure we bring the best of Cognizant and offer integrated solutions while growing Cloud, Infrastructure & Security services market shares.
  5. Guide solutioning and architecture teams to ensure that solution is aligned to client needs and business outcomes.
  6. Leverage and enhance Hyperscaler & Partner relationships to identify opportunities, drive Infra cloud campaigns & initiatives, capitalize on partner funding and drive value in the existing and new accounts.
  7. Provide subject matter expertise to proposal development and overall solution.
  8. Respond to and deliver on client requests; respond to RFPs.
  9. Identify opportunities, make proactive proposals to client in line with account strategy.
  10. Lead pursuits to close new and expansion opportunities related to applications and software transformations.
  11. Maintain excellent hygiene across all sales activities in Salesforce and prepare accurate sales forecasts and sales cycle reporting.
  12. Report to regional leadership based on interactions with clients, prospects and other market players.

Your profile:

  1. Master or Bachelor’s degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science.
  2. Experience in selling Cloud & Infrastructure services with offshore deliveries for the Spanish / Southern Europe market.
  3. Subject matter expertise across Digital Workplace services; Hybrid cloud solutions; Public cloud on Azure, AWS & GCP; Security Services.
  4. Proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and targets with strong techno-commercial skills to structure large complex deals.
  5. Strong consultative selling background and ability to bring Executive level interactions and relationship management.
  6. Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  7. A good understanding of the competitive landscape and partner ecosystems and ability to leverage partner solutions to solve customer problems.
  8. At ease developing opportunity pipelines, qualifying high priority deals, and winning.
  9. You like working collaboratively in a virtual and highly matrixed environment. To be successful, you need to be fluent in Spanish and in English.
