About the role:

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead our projects: development of aeronautical equipment with OEMs, development of Centum products, or research and development projects, primarily within the aeronautical, defense, and security industries. These projects involve developing advanced mission systems for both manned and unmanned platforms. With a strong focus on risk management, this role will be responsible for communicating with all stakeholders and ensuring alignment to achieve project targets. This position is crucial for the company as we embark on key strategic projects.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Be part of the PMO department, collaborating on all management tasks within the area.
  2. Maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including customers, partners, and suppliers. Set and manage stakeholder expectations.
  3. Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and cost implications.
  4. Estimate resource requirements, design work plans, and monitor project progress.
  5. Coordinate internal resources and third-party involvement for precise project execution.
  6. Conduct thorough risk management associated with the project.
  7. Ensure that quality standards defined for the project are met.
  8. Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  9. Create and maintain updated project documentation.

Requirements:

  1. University degree: Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related fields.
  2. At least 5 years of project management experience.
  3. PMP or similar accreditation.
  4. Aviation Knowledge: Understanding of aircraft equipment design, production processes, and aeronautical systems.
  5. Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with aviation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
  6. Proactive, organized, enthusiastic, and a problem-solving team player.
  7. Advanced English proficiency is essential as it is the daily language for managing international projects (Spanish is also required).
  8. Willingness to travel globally according to project needs.
  9. Methodical and organized person.
  10. Ability to work in a dynamic and flexible environment.
  11. Autonomy and responsibility.
  12. Ability to take on new challenges.
  13. Customer and client management communication capability.
  14. Self-autonomous and able to achieve results independently.
  15. Able to cope with pressure and coordinate/perform activities in parallel.
  16. Business etiquette within an international work environment.

Other skills:

  1. Comprehensive knowledge of the EASA Part 21 / PERAM 21 regulations, which cover the certification of aircraft and related products, parts, and appliances, as well as the approval of design and production organizations. Ability to ensure that all project activities comply with the relevant regulatory requirements and standards.
  2. Proficient in the use of MS Office suite and PM tools (MS Project, JIRA, or other).
  3. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
  4. Decision-Making: Making informed decisions to keep the project on track and within budget.
  5. Flexibility: Adapting to changes and managing unforeseen circumstances.
