Threesixfive is working with an exciting e-commerce technology company.

Founded in 2019 in London, the company was started by 3 serial entrepreneurs passionate about ecommerce.

Their mission? To make ecommerce integrations painless for the world's best and fastest-growing brands. Using their own proprietary platform and an incredible team, they now automate operational data for brands like Alessi, Represent Clothing, Adanola and New Era - to name just a few! The company is experiencing impressive growth and is expanding their team to service their growing client base.

A key role for their continued development is that of a Full Stack Engineer.

What they're looking for? A Europe-based Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their diverse, global and fully remote team to design and own their internal and external services. You'll be identifying and addressing gaps in their proprietary platform, as well as delivering features as defined by their product roadmap.

You will collaborate with team members at all levels to both seek and provide architectural input, guidance, and direction. You'll have plenty of time to be a hands-on Engineer and become intimately familiar with the codebase.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Overall responsibility for creating, maintaining, and improving their microservices.
  2. Optimise these services for low latency and high bandwidth traffic.
  3. Enforce modern security best-practices and shore-up the backend.
  4. Implement and optimise unit and functional testing processes.
  5. Owning pull and merge requests for your team.
  6. Inputting into technical and architectural decisions.
  7. Communicating with the organisation on progress, blockers, and opportunities.
  8. Writing technical documentation about any product update or service changes.

Your Qualifications

Must-haves:

  1. 3+ years experience as a software engineer - with recent product company experience.
  2. Experience working on a dynamic product that is ever-changing and evolving rapidly.
  3. Good experience coding with PHP and Python, any other language will be a plus.
  4. Experience working with one frontend microservice like VueJs or React.
  5. Experience with local environments set up and Docker Compose.
  6. Excellent understanding of REST and GraphQL APIs and HTTP protocols.
  7. Great verbal and written communicator who can write clear and concise documentation and keep it up to date.
  8. Can work across the software development lifecycle.

Desirable:

  1. Good understanding of AWS cloud services.
  2. Strong understanding of version control systems.
  3. Experience working with non-relational databases.
  4. Educated teams around good coding practices and principles.
  5. Worked with management to help other Engineers perform and grow.
  6. A passion for simplifying development for yourself and others.
  7. Strong collaborator who can build relationships in a global and remote environment.
  8. Self-motivated to deliver against agreed timescales through effective prioritisation and management of workload.
  9. Pride and a mindset of ownership which values our users as the most important aspect of day-to-day work and activities.
  10. Can work independently and with initiative.
  11. Can positively challenge the status quo and drive change in engineering practices with well-reasoned arguments and a 'strong opinion, weakly held' mentality.
