Candidate will be responsible for managing and executing communications programs designed to enhance the image and reputation for Pfizer and BU external communication support. The candidate will be responsible for implementing plans and elaborate materials that deepen accelerate business performance and enhance reputation.
The candidate collaborates with External Communication Senior Manager and Director to develop and / or implement actions for a range of external communication activities, including corporate and product / BU communication; earned and owned media and relations to vendors.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Communications
Develop day-to-day communication management and integrated content across channels. Produce clear, compelling, and engaging communications for a range of external channels, including owned & earned.
Develop and support the launch of time-sensitive press releases / content materials for key milestones, partnering with key stakeholders in Medical, Regulatory, Legal, and more.
Develop and maintain relationships with BU colleagues to identify communication opportunities and to ensure consistent messaging.
Collaborate to write briefing materials, presentations, and media assets, in line with company narrative and focus areas.
Manage editorial calendar ensuring balance across themes and in alignment with goals, messaging, and news and in collaboration with communications team.
Maintain records / sharepoint documentation for a compelling story, key messaging, and news flow for external use.
Refine website and collaborate with members of the team to generate content for ensuring it is fresh, engaging, and approved through legal process and others as required and published in a timely manner for areas of responsibility.
Responsible for maintaining materials updated for external audiences in areas of scope.
Collaborate in the management of local podcast: speaking engagements & awards, recognition opportunities, sponsored partnerships and events.
Partner with agencies / vendors to provide support for external site events, activities and ad-hoc communications. Manage agency partners for specialized asset production (podcast, visual assets, etc.) ensuring that budgets and timelines are being adhered to.
Establish a network and partner effectively with other Communication team members across IDM to achieve business objectives and continually strive to improve communication with local colleagues.
Collaborate with global external communication and media relations partners in global initiatives to adapt and customize to market needs.
Liaise with partners across Corporate Affairs, Biopharma, Pfizer’s commercial partners to drive consistent and aligned messaging to external stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree, in Communications or Journalism strongly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the pharma sector.
Experienced in media relations and journalist network in Spain.
Native Spanish. Required high level of written and spoken English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent writing / editing and verbal communication skills.
Media channels and social / influencers environment experience.
Strong organizational skills and creativity with the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
Capability to multitask in a fast-paced dynamic environment while being flexible to manage competing priorities and shift focus as determined by changing needs.
Talent to operate in ambiguous situations to deliver objectives.
