We are currently looking for freelance translators with a proven track record and solid experience in subtitling for the TV and Movie industry from English into Castilian Spanish, Galician, Catalan, or Basque.

Requirements

Please make sure your CV (in English) shows us that you meet the following basic requirements:

1. Great communication skills and an appetite for continued learning.
2. Ability to quickly adapt to workflow/process changes and updates.
3. Great attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, analytical and multitasking skills.
4. Native language fluency of target language.
5. Extensive knowledge of source language.
6. University degree or equivalent professional experience in the translation field.
7. Experience in at least one of the following areas of the entertainment industry: localization QC, audiovisual translation, and subtitling.
8. Deep understanding of nuances of subtitle and dub translations.
9. Working knowledge of best practices for subtitles and dub audio creation.
10. Understanding of closed captioning and subtitling, and their common failures and technical challenges.
11. Confidence and experience with subtitle editing software and web/cloud technology.
