Structure and Cell Biology of Viruses Lab Technician

A Lab-Technician position is available at the Abrescia Lab in the CIC bioGUNE research centre near Bilbao, Spain, to support our work on structure-function studies of virus-host interactions and virus assembly. The project involves cryo-image processing and data analysis of viruses and virus-receptor complexes.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree (awarded within the last 3 years).
• Strong interest in structural biology or virology.
• Some knowledge in computing to support lab activities in electron microscopy, image processing, and/or methods development and programming.

The position (Contrato en Practicas):

• is initially available for 6 months, extendable for another 6 months.

Preferred start date: November 2024.
