Who will you be working with?

Wabtec Iberica has been awarded the provision of Platform Screen Doors for Metro Madrid. You will supervise the Doors installation at each Metro station.

You will work with an international project team spanning Spain, France, and China. You will also coordinate external subcontractors.

How will you make a difference?

As an Installation Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the installations according to the planning and customer requirements, ensuring and improving targeted Quality, Cost, and Delivery, whilst promoting a Safety culture for all personnel.

What will your typical day look like?

• Ensures that all critical civil interfaces are well coordinated, surveyed, checked, documented, and understood.
• Prepares installation procedures and method statements, T&C procedure supported by the STM and the Design team.
• Supervises the warehouse prerequisites and warehouse management.
• Participates in the definition of the method of goods delivery to site.
• Works closely with the PM to plan and manage the site team to the satisfaction of the customer.
• Interfaces with the customer construction manager.
• Mobilizes workers within the company and from subcontractors.
• Leads and coaches the FYT supervisors and testing engineers team.
• Supervises the installation subcontractor/partner and reviews the daily work progress.
• Facilitates constructive working relationships with all personnel, encouraging open communication.
• Daily communicates with PM to summarize the progress and the difficulties encountered.
• Provides weekly or monthly reports for the customer, PM, or directors upon request.
• Ensures all civil pre-requirements are respected.
• On-site supervision of system installation and testing by subcontractors.
• Manages and resolves all project installation and operational issues.

What do we want to know from you?

• Mechanical / Electromechanical / Civil Works Engineering degree.
• +5 years’ experience in maintenance projects (industrial, construction, elevators, automatic stairs).
• Experience with Metro Madrid, Metro Barcelona, or other Metro companies is a plus.
• Customer-oriented.
• Team building and management skills.
• Communication skills.
• Planning skills and results-oriented.
• Leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Availability to work at night.
• Availability to travel internationally.
