Offer Description

Applications are invited by the University of Alicante President for a fixed-term contractual position as a pre-doctoral researcher to collaborate with the project "Security Strategies based on generative AI for Cloud Computing Architectures" of the Department of IT and Computing. Reference: I-PI 142-24.

Funding: Jointly financed by University of Alicante Office of the Vice President for Research, Valencia Region Ministry of Education, Universities and Employment, and collaborating company Levantina de servicios en la nube, S.L.

The successful applicant will collaborate in the research project "Security Strategies based on generative AI for Cloud Computing Architectures (Ref. UAIND23-13C)", undertaking doctoral training in cooperation with the University of Alicante Research Group in Applied Smart Architectures to pursue a doctoral thesis associated with the aim of preparing a PhD thesis certified endorsed with 'Industrial Certification' within the scope of this project and carrying out the following tasks:

1. Research in computer security by applying generative AI techniques for cloud computing architectures.

Job Profile

Preference will be given to those with experience and training related to the tasks listed above and to the application of AI techniques in cloud computing environments.

Requirements for Applicants

Applicants must:

1. Hold or be in the process of obtaining an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering (Spanish MECES level 2 or EQF level 6) plus an official Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence (Spanish MECES level 3 or EQF level 7), or any other official Master's degree with equivalent content.
2. Meet the academic requirements necessary for admission to a PhD programme in Computer Engineering at the University of Alicante or co-supervised by the University of Alicante.
3. Not hold a PhD awarded by a Spanish or foreign university.
4. Be a Spanish national or be in one of the situations listed in article 57 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of 30 October.
5. Be at least 16 years of age and not exceed the maximum compulsory retirement age.
6. Possess the physical and mental capacities necessary for the performance of the corresponding functions or tasks.
7. Not have been dismissed by disciplinary proceedings from any Public Administrations.
