Senior Architect Wireless Connectivity & Digital Infrastructure (m/f/d)

Our client is a global leader in its industry and is characterized by the development of innovative solutions in various sectors. Join their rapidly growing and international Digital Hub in Madrid to become part of their digitalization journey by supporting their Global Product team.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Become a part of the international team that acts at the interface between Informational Technology (IT) and Operation Technology (OT)
2. Lead the development of complex end-to-end wireless technology solutions
3. Collaborate closely with global cross-functional teams, project managers, engineers and internal business partners
4. Assess existing IT/OT network infrastructure and new network requirements
5. Create project-specific documents outlining proposed architecture, as well as conduct testing and validation of network implementations
6. Work with operations teams to resolve wireless network issues
7. Introduce innovative approaches and new technologies to the team

Your Profile:

1. Academic Degree with a focus on Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Telecommunications
2. 10+ years of experience in wireless network architecture design, ideally with a focus on IT and OT integration
3. Strong technical background including experience with WiFi, 4G-LTE, 5G and IoT as well as strong knowledge of networking principles, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls and security
4. Experience in bridging the gap between IT and OT, ideally with vendors such as Cisco, PaloAlto, CheckPoint, and global integrators
5. Highly motivated to drive innovation, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
6. Advantageous: project management tools knowledge, agile mindset with a desire to learn
7. Advantageous: knowledge in Software Defined Networks (SDN) and Cloud Networks
8. Advantageous: certifications in the field (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, PMP)
9. Fluent level of English
