Job Description:
Our client, one of the main leaders in the beauty and fashion industry, is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and analytical General Accountant to join their Global Financial Services team based in Barcelona for the Greek market. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, international environment, providing financial services to subsidiaries worldwide.
Tasks:
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes, ensuring compliance with group accounting rules and accurate reporting.
Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring reliability and adherence to group and statutory standards.
Coordinate quarterly inter-company reconciliations and prepare group financial reports.
Collaborate with tax advisors to provide information for monthly tax declarations and corporate income tax calculations.
Lead external audit processes and maintain statutory accounting records in line with local standards.
Develop yearly balance sheet and cash flow budgets, as well as forecasts.
Control and manage fixed assets, ensuring proper accounting and reporting.
Requirements:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a shared services environment with multi-currency postings and large intercompany reconciliations.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication, analytical skills, and autonomy, with experience managing international stakeholders.
Expertise in SAP and MS Office tools.
Adaptability to change and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
