FUNCTIONS:

1. Ensure that all civil / mechanical / structural engineering design, technical specifications, and works on assigned projects performed by third parties are carried out in accordance with all the applicable norms and regulations, the requirements of the Employer Requirements of the standard EPC contract as well as all applicable permits and other project-specific requirements. Be ready to do all needed calculations. This refers to support structure for PV modules, foundations, roads, trenching, fence, earthworks, drainage system, buildings, etc.
2. Keep up to date all the civil / mechanical / structural engineering design requirements and specifications included in the Employer Requirements of the standard EPC contract.
3. Prepare requirements for topographical, geotechnical, soil investigation, hydrological and hydraulic studies as well as pull-in-and-out tests to be performed by third parties.
4. Analysis of topographic studies of implantation and viability, review and interpretation of geotechnical, soil investigation, hydrological and hydraulic reports as well as structural calculations, civil calculations, pull-in-and-out tests and other civil design documentation provided by third parties and translate those results into design requirements.
5. Use AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or other PV design software such as PVCase, HelioScope, PV Design, etc. to develop conceptual and/or detailed drawings and BoQ for utility photovoltaic systems to be used for RFPs packages.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
2. More than 5 years on Utility Solar Power Plants. Other experience in other energy markets such as Oil & Gas, Wind, Storage, etc. will be valued.
3. Professionals with more experience may be considered for a high-level Solar Civil Engineer position.
4. On-site works experience will be valued significantly.
5. Experience in dealing with hybrids will be valued.
6. Management of Google Earth, ArcGIS or similar GIS tools.
7. Understanding of Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel.
