Are you interested in being part of a high visibility, strategic team that delivers global solutions at the intersection of data center infrastructure and energy?

The AWS EMEA Energy & Water org is looking for a results-oriented individual to join their Energy Efficiency & Optimization team.

As an Energy Business Analyst, you will use a strong analytical skillset to analyze energy and water data, discover and solve energy efficiency & optimization business problems, and build processes, mechanisms, and tools to deliver results and improve the customer's experience.

You will enable effective decision making by collaborating with internal orgs, retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.

This position can be based in Madrid, Dublin, or London.

Key job responsibilities

1. Deliver data management best practices and methodologies for standardization of our power, energy, & water datasets.
2. Develop and collaborate with data, analytics, and business teams to deliver relevant and scalable tools, analytics and process improvements for the Power, Energy, & Water teams.
3. Deliver technical analyses and business cases for power, energy, & water solutions that enable optimization, compliance, and high velocity decision making that align with Amazon's global sustainability goals.

Basic Qualifications

1. Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
2. Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
3. Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared).
4. Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R).
5. Experience with SQL.
6. Experience in the data/BI space.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Master's degree or advanced technical degree.
2. Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design.
3. Experience with statistical analysis, correlation analysis.
