About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Business Partner to join our team in Barcelona. The ideal candidate will provide strategic financial insights, support business strategy, and drive operational improvements. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.

You will join the Group Reporting department which cooperates closely with Finance and Accounting. Both departments are split across Copenhagen and Barcelona consisting of 10 colleagues. Together with the other teams in Enabling Areas, we support BASE in all matters relating to finance, IT, people & culture and general business support internationally.

As a Finance Business Partner your responsibilities include :

• Group Consolidation & Reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee financial performance of projects, ensuring budget adherence, tracking costs / revenue, managing risks, and optimizing profitability.
• Provide financial insights to guide business strategy, investment decisions, and operational improvements.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to track financial performance and business impact.
• Monitor KPIs, profitability, and cost efficiency to improve decision-making across business units.
• Coordinate internal cross-department projects.
• Identify opportunities for automation, data analytics, and system improvements to enhance reporting.

• 3-5 years’ experience from a similar position with business controlling, reporting or business analysis.
• Master’s degree in business & economics.
• Operates well independently.
• Flair for understanding complex problems and explaining them in a way which is easy-to-understand.
• Puts virtue in delivering on deadlines while delivering high-quality work.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Strong communicator who enjoys interacting with other people.
• Expert Excel and PowerPoint user. If you have experience with data models and visualization tools such as PowerBI it is advantage, but not a requirement.
• Fluent in English as it is our corporate language.
