To initiate the selection process for the hiring of 1 Senior Research Technician on a temporary contract, in accordance with the criteria, requirements, and selection system established in the attached Annex.

Research Field: Biological sciences » Other

Skills/Qualifications:

• Handling of samples from patients with haematological malignancies, mainly MDS, processing, storage, analysis.
• Creation and completion of international database for the study.
• Coordination with other centres of the Spanish MDS Group (GESMD) to identify patients, samples and send results to the project.
• Elaboration of standard operating procedures.

Specific Requirements:

• Be a Spanish national, a national of a member country of the European Union or a foreigner with a residence and work permit in Spain.
• Hold at least a Higher Vocational Training Technician Degree in analysis and quality control laboratories.
• Minimum 3 years' experience required. The minimum requirements must be accredited with those certificates that are valid in law, including all those that demonstrate the aforementioned professional experience, in line with the functions to be performed and the assessment criteria. In the case of qualifications obtained abroad, their homologation must necessarily be accredited.

The conclusion of the contract is subject to the availability of the project's budget and to the successful candidate's compliance with the requirements of current employment legislation.

Additional Information:

• Type of contract: Temporary contract circumstances of production.
• One month to cover pending holidays 2024
• Full time: 35 hours.
• Financial remuneration: 1,588.08 euros gross per month including the proportional part of two extraordinary payments.
• Research project: MDS Unit, UMBRELLA-SUMMA: Haematology project.
• Work centre: Haematology Department. University Hospital of Salamanca.

Eligibility criteria:

• Curricular assessment of merits and abilities (0-47 points)
• Other qualifications (0-10 points)
• Minimum three years' experience (0-20 points) in:
• Demonstrable work in processing haematopoietic progenitors and mesenchymal cells.
• In handling and cryopreservation of RNA, DNA, proteins.
• In handling and cryopreservation of samples of haematopoietic malignancies.
• Development of standard operating procedures.
