A leading company, part of a major international business group, and currently expanding into new business areas, is looking to hire a Director Electrical Power Engineer.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director Electrical Power Engineer to join our Data Center Technical Department. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting project design, supervising construction phases, and defining processes and procedures for the operations phase. This senior-level position requires a deep understanding of data center infrastructure and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery and operation of our data center projects.

Responsibilities :

• Strategic Power System Design Leadership: Lead the development of innovative electrical power solutions tailored for next-generation data centers, ensuring scalability, energy efficiency, and reliability. Provide technical oversight and direction for complex electrical power system architectures, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to align with business objectives. Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to optimize electrical power performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Project Design Support: Collaborate with design teams to establish and review advanced electrical power system specifications and requirements for data center projects. Evaluate and select best-in-class electrical power components and systems, ensuring they meet rigorous performance and durability standards. Ensure all align with global industry standards, sustainability goals, and future scalability.
• Construction Phase Supervision: Oversee the deployment, integration, and testing of electrical power systems during the construction phase. Conduct in-depth site inspections to verify compliance with technical specifications and ensure the highest quality standards. Act as the primary point of escalation for complex electrical power-related issues during project execution, working closely with contractors and vendors to resolve challenges efficiently.
• Operations Process and Procedure Definition: Define and document advanced operational processes for the maintenance and optimization of electrical power systems. Lead the implementation of predictive maintenance and diagnostic tools to ensure sustained power reliability and performance. Provide strategic guidance and training to operations teams, enabling them to manage and maintain cutting-edge electrical power systems effectively.
• Innovation and Research: Conduct ongoing research to identify emerging trends and technologies in electrical power engineering, incorporating relevant advancements into the organization’s data center strategies. Partner with R&D teams to prototype and validate new electrical power solutions.

Required Qualifications :

• Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in electrical power engineering leadership roles within the data center industry.
• Expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing complex electrical power systems for large-scale data centers.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including electrical power distribution, cooling systems, and network integration.
• Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to travel to global data center sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Extensive experience with electrical power lifecycle management, from concept design to decommissioning.
• Familiarity with advanced data center monitoring, analytics, and electrical power management tools.
• Track record of contributing to industry standards or publications related to electrical power engineering.

This role represents a Principal-level position, providing thought leadership and technical expertise to ensure the successful delivery of data center projects while driving innovation and operational excellence.
