Director of Innovation and New Business

Role Mission

Reporting into Country Managing Director, and being part of Senior Leadership Team, this role will be responsible for defining and leading the innovation strategy and the development of new business within the educational sector, contributing to the evolution of the product and service portfolio. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, improving existing offerings, and developing new solutions that address the trends and needs of the K-12 sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the evolution of the product portfolio, incorporating new offerings aligned with sector trends.
• Explore growth opportunities through market analysis, identifying new needs, and developing innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams (product, technology, content, business) to design development strategies for educational products.
• Foster a culture of innovation, facilitating agile methodologies and continuous improvement processes within the organization.
• Manage strategic partnerships with startups, educational institutions, and key players in the EdTech ecosystem.
• Lead the implementation of new solutions, ensuring their viability and alignment with the company’s strategy.
• Define impact and success metrics to evaluate product performance and market adoption.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in product development, strategy, or innovation in EdTech or education-related companies.
• In-depth knowledge of the K-12 education ecosystem, pedagogical methodologies, and digital learning trends.
• Proven experience in managing innovation projects and product improvement, from conceptualization to implementation.
• Ability to combine strategic and operational approaches in new business development.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and agile methodologies.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop key partnerships.
• Excellent analytical skills and data-driven decision-making.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in EdTech startups or in R&D within digital education.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI, VR / AR, or Adaptive Learning.
• International experience in the education field.
