How can you help us?

The Head of Quality Manufacturing will manage all aspects of quality assurance and food safety in our Hero Spain manufacturing site. This role demands expertise in food safety regulations, quality systems, and the unique challenges of baby food production. The candidate must have strong leadership skills to guide the team, ensuring top standards of safety and quality.

Your main responsibilities

Leadership and Team Development :

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of quality assurance and food safety professionals.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the team.
• Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.

Quality Assurance :

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Ensure adherence of manufacturing site to the QM processes.
• Oversee the execution of quality control processes.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and other relevant food safety standards.
• Lead periodic Management Reviews about the Quality and Food Safety performance.

Food Safety :

• Develop and implement food safety programs.
• Conduct regular food safety audits and inspections.
• Manage food safety incidents and coordinate corrective actions.

Regulatory Compliance :

• Stay updated on food safety regulations and standards.
• Ensure all products meet regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and certification bodies.

Skills and Competencies

Background :

• Masters degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in quality assurance and food safety.
• Extensive knowledge of baby food manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, ISO, and other food safety standards.

• Based in Murcia.
