What your responsibilities will be

1. Discussing innovative developments with inventors, researchers, business units and commercial teams and providing IP advisory service to them.
2. Conducting drafting, prosecution and enforcement work, responding to office actions from patent offices of different jurisdictions.
3. Carrying out prior art, patent landscape, and freedom to operate (FTO) searches and analysis.
4. Drafting patentability, FTO, and validity opinions and provide patent validity, and infringement advice to stakeholders in the relevant business units.
5. Working with and managing outside IP counsel with respect to prosecution, search, and opinion work where warranted.
6. Handling IP related aspects of contractual agreements with external partners, universities, and other research institutions.
7. Contributing where necessary to IP due diligence projects.

Who you are

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, education, and/or ability required. 1. University Degree in Biology, Biochemistry or related Life Sciences fields (Pharmaceutical and Biomedical fields). PhD would be considered an asset.
2. Minimum 8-10 years of experience working within an in-house IP department or a private practice firm. Experience in the Pharma industry is a plus.
3. Fully qualified European Patent Attorney.
4. High level in English, both oral and written.

Flexibility for U Program: Mostly remote

Flexible schedule: Monday-Thursday 7-10 to 16-19h and Friday 8-15h.
