Role summary :

The position works closely with Project Managers and the leadership team in driving key initiatives and helping the Company to maintain a solid control over Projects execution and maximize Projects Financials KPI’s. The Business Partner will use data as a strategic asset to provide decision support, accurate planning and forecasting, and operational productivity and efficiency analysis. Further, this position will ensure accuracy and completeness in income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement planning and forecasting as well as timely variance analysis.

Principal accountabilities :

1. Own and drive Project financial performance (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, ROIC).
2. Work closely with the Project Manager in monthly financial reviews to ensure revenues, margins and cash are appropriately estimated for use in financial statement forecasting.
3. Analyze financial results and identify and communicate deviations to plan and forecast. Make recommendations for potential solutions and improvements. Promote the active use of financial data to drive business success, and continuously identify and make visible all potential risks and opportunities.
4. Connect and work alongside other Functional and Operational business partners to achieve above outcomes.
5. Provide trusted finance decision support, including regular and ad hoc analysis to key stakeholders. Deliver insight into trends, risks and opportunities.
6. Actively collaborate with accounting, shared service, treasury and tax peers to ensure finance & accounting processes are executed and the function achieves its objectives. Seek out ambiguity and clarify. Identify areas lacking role clarity and provide solutions, escalate where required.
7. Support the business annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, ensuring that gaps are identified and communicated early and that appropriate actions are taken to meet financial commitments.
8. Identify / highlight performance trends, high & low performing projects.
9. Lead monthly project reviews (in partnership with management team). Ensure the following items are accurately forecasted: costs to complete, liquidated damages, milestone invoicing timely, cash collection, etc.
10. Lead processes and initiatives to reduce primary working capital and maximize operating cash flow.

Requirements :

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance. CPA, CMA and / or MBA preferred.
2. Ideally 5 years of finance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment preferably as a finance business partner.
3. US GAAP experience.
4. Experience working for multinational companies.
5. Experience in operational finance.
6. Knowledge of integrated ERP and BPC.
7. Strong analytical skills.
8. Strong computer skills in MS platforms.
9. Good written and verbal communication skills.
