We are looking for a Creative Strategist to join our growing agency as part of our Creative Planning Team. This role is at the heart of the agency and sits between production, creative, paid media, data science, and project management teams. The mission of the Creative Strategist is to develop new, innovative and creative strategies that deliver measurable results for our clients while staying on top of the latest industry trends.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Analyze a business’ current situation, goal, and strategy.
  2. Research who would be interested in buying what our clients are selling and why.
  3. Build and analyze a customer journey using limited data, providing a basis for making good strategic decisions.
  4. Work as part of the team to assess a company's strengths, researching the competitive landscape, broader market, and using this to develop a strategy (and presenting it beautifully).
  5. Design creative tests to put our strategy into practice. Each month assess the results of these tests and the position of the company - augment strategy where needed and develop new tests to move the client towards their goals.
  6. Dive into the performance data to see which ads are working. Break it down to see which creative routes are doing the best, and for which user segments.
  7. Maintain relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients.
  8. Collaborate with designers, writers, performance specialists, and data scientists to bring our strategy to life, keeping on brand and on message.
  9. Monitor the creative output, judging its consistency with the brand and creative strategy.
  10. Research and develop creative ideas for new campaigns.
  11. Contribute ideas to improve the department, whether it’s new services, internal processes, or other initiatives.
  12. Join client calls and answer client messages to explain your work and answer questions.
  13. Problem-solve issues with strategy and related briefs, working with other teams to resolve or knowing when to escalate.

You‘ll do great by combining the following experience and attributes :

  1. Impressive powers of persuasion (through storytelling).
  2. A portfolio that shows you can identify and prioritize a brand’s problems and opportunities.
  3. Comfortable looking at data to determine performance.
  4. An eye for good copy and design (and, importantly, for bad copy and design).
  5. (Nice to have) Experience with a variety of companies (sizes and industries).
  6. (Nice to have) Some experience in digital strategy / understanding of platforms.
  7. High Emotional IQ - The ability to deliver tough feedback constructively.
  8. Team player - Make decisions that are for the good of the group.
  9. Own it - Take responsibility for delivering the best we can.
