The Data Governance Manager plays a critical role in leading and overseeing all Data Governance initiatives aligned with the company's strategic objectives. This position is responsible for defining and implementing the data governance framework, ensuring data quality, and managing the data catalog. It is a hands-on role that requires both strategic leadership and practical execution to drive the successful development and implementation of data governance practices.

What will you do?

  • Ensure data is organized, accessible, and supports accelerated data-driven decision-making.
  • Define and implement the Data Governance Framework to establish structured governance processes.
  • Establish and assign roles and responsibilities related to data management, including data users, data owners, and data stewards.
  • Develop and maintain the data catalog to enhance data discoverability and usability.
  • Develop and execute the data quality frameworks and processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness across all systems. Define key quality metrics and monitoring systems, ensuring their effective implementation.
  • Act as a bridge between business, functional, and technical teams, ensuring the protection of sensitive and confidential data.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, including Tech, Business, and Operations heads, to align Data Governance initiatives with business objectives.
  • Design and execute the Data Governance roadmap, providing regular progress reports and insights.
  • Oversee and coordinate the implementation of the Data Governance Strategy across operational units, ensuring consistency and compliance.

What you'll need

University degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Management, Economics, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in implementing data governance frameworks and roadmaps, aligning and documenting data definitions, establishing data governance structures, and implementing data quality controls.

In-depth knowledge of Data Management principles, including data quality, data cataloging, and metadata management.

Experience with data quality monitoring tools and frameworks.

Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages, such as SQL and Python.

Knowledge of data modeling and data architecture.

Familiarity with AWS data governance solutions.

Strong project management skills to lead and drive data-related initiatives effectively.

Familiarity with data regulations such as GDPR and other data management requirements.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.

Fluent in English.
