Data Centre Technician

As part of Forvis Mazars’ strategic move to create a centralized service to serve clients across Europe, we have created Global Compliance & Reporting service with teams, processes and technology that allows multinational groups to meet all its accounting, tax, payroll and legal obligations and commitments, both locally and internationally while having accurate information centralized and delivered from our Center of Excellence (CoE).

QRM is one of the key pillars of the Forvis Mazars global strategic plan, and Forvis Mazars – CoE is looking for a Compliance Officer (with German) located in Barcelona to support the design, implementation, and operation of our global Quality Management (QM).

You will be a well-organized and internationally minded professional with relevant experience in process and controls work and good attention to detail.

Specifically, the role will include:

1. Perform process and risk assessments (including for IT processes and software tools) to determine quality objectives, risks and controls considering inputs from various sources including process owners, internal inspections, external regulatory inspections, themes from internal monitoring activities, surveys, etc. across all Service Lines and functions.
2. Development and maintenance of technical guidance and policy to assist on QM topics. Support in updating and maintaining QM intellectual resources.
3. Engagement with Internal Audit team and Internal QM teams as needed on testing matters.

Experience:

1. 2-3 years’ professional experience, preferably in consulting or in a professional services environment.
2. Educational Background in Law Compliance or Audit.
3. International mindset - able to engage and collaborate with stakeholders across the international network, with strong networking capabilities and good communication skills.
4. Innovative thinking - with strong problem-solving skills and an interest in becoming a technical expert on quality management and risk assessment techniques.
5. Policy management, including policy management tools.
6. English required to a high standard - both written and oral. German would be very useful.
