Data & Analytics Lead

We are looking for a Solution Architect, with experience in MS Cloud technologies for an EU agency in Amsterdam. This position is 100% on site.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Lead the creation and review of an end-to-end domain architecture and processes to support the strategic requirements of the business.
2. Identify the business benefits of alternative strategies.
3. Ensure compliance between business strategies, enterprise architecture, and technology directions, setting strategies, policies, standards, and practices.
4. Develop and present business cases for high-level initiatives and approvals.
5. Create and communicate multiple design views to identify and balance the concerns of all stakeholders of the domain design and to allow for both functional and non-functional requirements.
6. Identify and evaluate alternative design options and trade-offs.
7. Ensure that domain architecture decisions are justified and documented.
8. Assess and manage associated risks.
9. Ensure that platforms and components selected for delivery of a domain-specific solution are integrated to achieve domain objectives.
10. Provide effort/cost estimates and work breakdown structure.
11. Present domain architecture to governance bodies, address resulting architectural actions, and participate in the overall IT governance structures.
12. Collaborate strongly with the architects in developing the solution, by applying the agency’s architectural principles.
13. Partner with Platform Architects from the Strategic Platforms (I-SP) department to assess and optimize domain functional requirements and augment with technical requirements from the platform architecture.
14. Partner with the Enterprise Architect from the CIO Office to ensure that the domain architecture fits into the broader enterprise architecture.
15. Partner with Customer Portfolio Leads from the Customer Advocacy Department (I-CA) to assess and incorporate business needs and requirements to build these into technical solutions and platform architecture.
16. Contribute to solutions testing and identify potential improvements to the domain solution, processes, and to the strategic platforms according to agreed designs/requirements.
17. Collaborate with the Business Analysis function in identifying and preventing risks from the requirements gathering phase and throughout the lifecycle of the solution.
18. Support continuous knowledge transfer to team members and maintain a transparent approach in sharing risks/issues/dependencies.
19. Identify potential improvements to the process and to the software products according to agreed designs/requirements.

Your Profile:

1. You have a master's degree in an IT related field.
2. You have 8 years' experience as a Solution Architect.
3. You have relevant professional qualifications in designing cloud-based solutions (e.g. Azure, PowerApps Portal, MS Dynamics 365, MS SharePoint Online, SAP, SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, Salesforce).
4. You have BCS, TOGAF, SWEBOK, or other equivalent and valid architecture certificates.
5. Strong knowledge of Microsoft cloud technologies (Microsoft Dynamics Portals, Microsoft SharePoint Online).
6. Experience in working with Azure DevOps, JIRA SDLC, and ServiceNow modules (IT Operations Management Visibility, IT Service Management Professional, and Customer Service Modules) is desired.
